About SayRUG

A well-furnished home rarely happens by accident. It's the result of choices — materials, craft, proportion, detail — all working together. SayRUG was created around that idea: a place where traditional craftsmanship meets contemporary design, for people who care about how their home actually feels to live in.

The project grew out of a simple observation: genuinely well-made pieces are becoming harder to find. Much of what's available today is produced quickly, with little regard for durability or for the people making it. We chose a different approach, working directly with weavers, craftspeople and small-scale manufacturers across Europe and beyond who still take the time their craft deserves.

Every product we offer is evaluated against the same three questions: Is it well made? Does it have character? Would we want it in our own home? Only pieces that answer yes to all three make it into the collection. It's a demanding standard, but it's the only one we consider worthwhile.

Sustainability, to us, isn't a marketing claim — it's simply part of doing business responsibly. Fair working conditions, honest materials and production without shortcuts are built into every item we sell, not added on afterwards.

We also pay close attention to the experience around the product itself: clear, accurate information, responsive support, and advice that's actually useful rather than scripted. Furnishing a home should be enjoyable, not stressful — and that's the standard we hold ourselves to at every step.
